Silver Package

A one-day workshop with internationally renowned clarinet and saxophone artist Andy Firth is an inspiring opportunity for students to learn from one of Australia's leading performers and educators. Through engaging rehearsals, interactive masterclasses and creative ensemble sessions, students gain practical skills in tone, technique, improvisation, musical expression and confident performance. Andy's positive and encouraging teaching style motivates students of all ability levels, helping them develop greater confidence, teamwork and a deeper appreciation for making music together. Whether working with concert bands, jazz ensembles, chamber groups or individual woodwind students, a single day with Andy can energise an entire school music program, leaving students and staff with fresh ideas, renewed enthusiasm and practical strategies that continue to benefit rehearsals long after the workshop has finished.

A Typical One-Day Package May Include:

  • Meet and greet with students and staff

  • 1 × 1 hour creative workshop with clarinet and saxophone students

  • 2 × 1 hour rehearsal or workshop with clarinet and/or saxophone ensembles

  • 1 × 2 hour rehearsal or workshop with a big band or other large ensemble

Gold Package

A two-day workshop package with internationally acclaimed clarinet and saxophone artist Andy Firth offers schools a unique opportunity to inspire students while creating lasting musical growth. With additional time to work alongside students and staff, Andy is able to build stronger connections, refine ensemble performance, and develop musicianship in greater depth. A typical two-day program may include a meet and greet with students and staff, creative workshops for clarinet and saxophone students, rehearsals with ensembles and big bands, and an inspirational presentation that encourages students to pursue excellence both in music and beyond. The residency can culminate in an evening concert, where students have the unforgettable experience of performing alongside Andy, learning first-hand from one of Australia's most respected performers.

A Typical Two-Day Package May Include:

  • Meet and greet with students and staff

  • Creative workshop with clarinet and saxophone students

  • 2 × 1 hour rehearsal or workshop with each clarinet and/or saxophone quartet or ensembles

  • 2 × 2 hour rehearsal or workshops with a big band or other large ensemble

  • Inspirational /motivational talk to staff and students

  • Evening concert with chosen ensemble(s) playing solo and if required sit in with clarinet/saxophone section
